MBBS — Shri M. P. Shah Medical College, Jamnagar
His medical journey began with an MBBS from Shri M. P. Shah Medical College, Jamnagar, followed by postgraduate training in Paediatrics at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Bengaluru.
Early Practice
Dev Children's Hospital, Rajkot
After several years of practising as a paediatrician and establishing Dev Children's Hospital in Rajkot, he developed a deep interest in children with complex illnesses that often remained undiagnosed despite multiple consultations. Witnessing the uncertainty experienced by these children and their families inspired him to pursue one of the most specialised and rapidly evolving fields in paediatric medicine.
National Fellowship
IAP Fellowship, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi
He completed the prestigious Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) Fellowship in Paediatric Rheumatology under the mentorship of Dr. Sujata Sawhney, one of the pioneers of Paediatric Rheumatology in India and among the country's most respected leaders in the specialty.
International Fellowship
PReS & APLAR — Great Ormond Street Hospital, London
His pursuit of advanced training continued through international fellowship opportunities with the Pediatric Rheumatology European Society (PReS) and the Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR), culminating in advanced fellowship training at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London, where he gained experience in managing complex rheumatic diseases, immune dysregulation, inborn errors of immunity, rare genetic disorders and advanced targeted therapies.
Research & Academia
Director, PRINTO Centre (IN-020)
Alongside clinical practice, Dr. Pandya has remained actively involved in research, medical education and international academic activities. He serves as the Director of the PRINTO Centre (IN-020) and contributed as an Indian investigator to the international HyperPED-COVID Registry, resulting in the publication "The HyperPed-COVID international registry: Impact of age of onset, disease presentation and geographical distribution on the final outcome of MIS-C" in the Journal of Autoimmunity (2024), with his contribution recognised as Pandya D.
Today
Practising in Ahmedabad
He has represented India at leading national and international scientific meetings through invited lectures, oral presentations, poster presentations and case discussions. He remains actively involved in medical education and collaborative research while working closely with an extensive network of national and international experts in Paediatric Rheumatology, Clinical Immunology, Genetics and Rare Diseases. Today, Dr. Pandya practises in Ahmedabad as Gujarat's First and Only Fellowship-Trained Paediatric Rheumatologist & Clinical Immunologist. His approach combines careful clinical evaluation with immunology, genetics, precision medicine and evidence-based care to provide accurate diagnosis, personalised treatment and long-term support for every child and family.
